Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player secured his first championship for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a former number one, has endured a challenging period, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the American major.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with former mentor Cervara.
Presently training with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
It is his maiden trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court since that period of that year.
Victory also means Medvedev has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I am participating in a competition with my children simultaneously, so to win a title is especially meaningful," commented ranked player the champion.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my child my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six finals, featuring in that event in the past months.
His counter-punching strategy and frequent reactions on the tennis court had prompted some to doubt if his skill to compete at the highest level was finished.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and compete assertively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the following set before the challenger, striving for his first professional title, seized the initiative to create a decider.
He rescued 4 initial break points in a close deciding set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner secured the win with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
